Dans l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord, il se produit aux alentours du 21&nbsp;juin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Le solstice d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 est le jour le plus long<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>En astronomie, <strong>le solstice se d\u00e9finit comme le moment o\u00f9 le Soleil appara\u00eet le plus \u00e9cart\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9quateur c\u00e9leste<\/strong>&nbsp;: cela correspond \u00e0 un angle (appel\u00e9 d\u00e9clinaison) de +23\u00b0&nbsp;26\u2019 dans l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>En pratique, cela signifie que le Soleil est \u00e0 sa plus grande hauteur dans le ciel<\/strong> de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e. L&rsquo;explication de cette variation est \u00e0 chercher dans <strong>la combinaison de deux param\u00e8tres<\/strong>. Le premier est <strong>l\u2019inclinaison de l\u2019axe de rotation de la Terre<\/strong> par rapport au plan de son orbite, qui est de 23\u00b0&nbsp;26\u2019, axe qui pointe toujours dans la m\u00eame direction, celle de l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stelvision.com\/astro\/etoile-polaire\/\">\u00c9toile polaire<\/a>. Et le second <strong>la r\u00e9volution de la Terre autour du Soleil<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019axe pointant toujours dans la m\u00eame direction lorsque la Terre avance sur son orbite, l&rsquo;\u00e9clairement re\u00e7u du Soleil privil\u00e9gie tant\u00f4t l&rsquo;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord, tant\u00f4t l&rsquo;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud. Si bien que pour un endroit donn\u00e9 \u00e0 sa surface, la trajectoire apparente du Soleil dans le ciel \u00e9volue. En raison de la rotondit\u00e9 de la Terre, <strong>le solstice d&rsquo;\u00e9t\u00e9 est per\u00e7u diff\u00e9remment selon la latitude o\u00f9 vous vous trouvez<\/strong>. Voici un petit aper\u00e7u de ce qu&rsquo;il est possible de voir le 21&nbsp;juin dans l&rsquo;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord \u00e0 quelques latitudes particuli\u00e8res, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9galement figur\u00e9es sur l&rsquo;illustration ci-dessus par les traits rouges et jaunes&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>un observateur situ\u00e9 <strong>\u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quateur<\/strong> (latitude&nbsp;0\u00b0) voit le Soleil culminer \u00e0 une hauteur de 66\u00b0&nbsp;34&prime; entre le nord et le z\u00e9nith. La dur\u00e9e du jour est de 12h&nbsp;09min comme tous les autres jours de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e&nbsp;: une sp\u00e9cificit\u00e9 de cette latitude, o\u00f9 le \u00ab\u00a0jour le plus long\u00a0\u00bb n&rsquo;existe donc pas&nbsp;! <em>Sur l&rsquo;illustration ci-dessus, le trait rouge \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9quateur repr\u00e9sentant le jour est \u00e9gal au trait jaune repr\u00e9sentant la nuit.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>un observateur situ\u00e9 <strong>\u00e0 la latitude moyenne de la France m\u00e9tropolitaine<\/strong> (47\u00b0&nbsp;nord) voit le Soleil culminer \u00e0 sa hauteur maximale, 66\u00b0&nbsp;26&prime;, entre le sud et le z\u00e9nith. La dur\u00e9e du jour est de 15h&nbsp;40min (\u00e0 comparer aux 8h&nbsp;30min de jour lors du solstice d&rsquo;hiver &#8211;&nbsp;le jour le plus court de l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e). <em>Sur l&rsquo;illustration, le trait rouge \u00e0 47\u00b0&nbsp;nord est beaucoup plus long que le trait jaune.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>un observateur situ\u00e9 <strong>sur le cercle polaire arctique<\/strong> (66\u00b0&nbsp;34\u2019&nbsp;nord) constate que le Soleil culmine \u00e0 la hauteur de 46\u00b0&nbsp;52&prime;. De plus, le jour du solstice, le Soleil ne passe pas derri\u00e8re l&rsquo;horizon&nbsp;: il touche celui-ci \u00e0 minuit avant de s&rsquo;\u00e9lever \u00e0 nouveau. <em>Sur l&rsquo;illustration, le trait rouge au cercle polaire arctique est le seul, il n&rsquo;y a pas de nuit.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>un observateur situ\u00e9 <strong>au P\u00f4le nord<\/strong> (90\u00b0&nbsp;nord) voit le Soleil faire un tour complet du ciel en restant \u00e0 la m\u00eame hauteur de 23\u00b0&nbsp;26\u2019. <em>Sur l&rsquo;illustration, le P\u00f4le nord mat\u00e9rialis\u00e9 par l&rsquo;axe de rotation de la Terre tourne sur lui-m\u00eame en 24h, sans changer de position par rapport aux rayons solaires.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solstice d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 dans un h\u00e9misph\u00e8re, solstice d\u2019hiver dans l\u2019autre<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout comme il y a un jour le plus long dans l\u2019ann\u00e9e, il y a aussi un jour le plus court&nbsp;: c\u2019est le solstice d\u2019hiver. Les deux sont intimement li\u00e9s&nbsp;car lorsque nous sommes au solstice d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord, c&rsquo;est le solstice d&rsquo;hiver dans l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud.
